Dr. Heiko Tietze

Heiko was born in 1970 in East Germany. He studied psychology with focus on experimental psychology and psychophysiologcal methods, finished with a PhD thesis about "Neuronal representation of the conceptual knowledge".
He worked at an ‘institute for traffic science’ about detecting tiredness, later at ‘institute for communication, information processing and ergonomics’ about situation awareness in defense context. And ultimately at a company focused on usability for different clients (finance/banking, fire dept supplier, medical devices...). He started around 2014 to work for LibreOffice and is now full-time UX Mentor at The Document Foundation.

In his spare time he develops the open source computer game Scrabble3D http://scrabble.sourceforge.net/wiki/.
