Jinghui Cheng is an Assistant Professor at Polytechnique Montréal, where he directs the Human-Centered Design (HCD) Lab. His research combines the fields of Human-Computer Interaction with Software Engineering. He is interested in understanding and supporting software teams in collaboratively leveraging the ability of new technologies to satisfy the users' diverse needs and characteristics. His recent work investigates techniques for enhancing the usability practice in open source communities, asynchronous collaboration in open source software development context, AI-empowered creativity-support technologies for interaction design, and the design of data-driven intelligent systems.
