Special guest

Andy works as UX Designer at Kaleidos Open Source, a company that creates disruptive digital platforms, driven by a positive impact of technology on society. Kaleidos is now focused on Penpot and Taiga, two open source platforms meant for digital product teams.

He has more than 15 years of experience designing digital products for large companies, online agencies and startups. Andy defines himself not as a specialist but as a multi-skilled designer with a focus on getting innovative projects done while considering user needs and business goals. Through his career he has played different roles, from visual design and front-end coding to product management. However, User Experience Designer is the label he feels more adequate for himself today.

Andy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master Degree in Digital Arts and has studied Digital Product Design at La Nave Nodriza, a Madrid based design school. He collaborates with different design schools as teacher and mentor, usually talking about user-centered design and agile methodologies.

Andy lives in Madrid with his partner and two cats. He likes drawing, reading sci-fi, watching horror movies and riding his very old bike.
